Local Area – Park Hill

Park Hill is located in the charming village of Quarrington, 1 mile south-west of the centre of Sleaford, an attractive and busy historic market town. Sleaford sits on the crossroads of the A17 and A15 providing excellent access to several major towns including the Cathedral City of Lincoln, with its University, Peterborough and Nottingham.

Sleaford is a traditional, historic market town promoting traditional village values whilst encouraging a thriving community. The River Slea and Sleaford Canal run through the heart of the town centre creating a pleasant retailing environment. There are many historic buildings in the town with St Denys Church having one of the oldest broach spires in England. Other visitor attractions in the local area include Cogglesford Watermill, Heckington Windmill and Belton House.

The town centre provides a wide range of amenities with plenty of shops, banks, pubs and cafes. Supermarkets in Sleaford include Tesco, Sainsbury, Lidl and Aldi. The traditional market offers a range of stalls selling fresh produce, flowers and clothes. Buses from Quarrington operate regularly to the town centre. Within walking distance there is a garden centre selling a wide range of plants, gifts and cards with restaurant, farm shop and butcher.

The nearby stunning cathedral city of Lincoln combines fascinating history with superb modern shopping facilities. The Cathedral Quarter is home to a range of independent specialist retailers. The Brayford Waterfront is home to fashionable bars, restaurants and Odeon multiplex cinema.
