Skellingthorpe School Children Plant Time Capsule at Taylor Lindsey New Homes Development

On Friday 6th June, Taylor Lindsey Homes welcomed children and staff from St Lawrence CoE Primary School to celebrate the opening of the Showhome and Sales Centre at their Manor Park Development on Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe.

After a welcome and safety briefing, the children assisted with the planting of a flowering cherry tree at the Development Entrance. Site Manager, Marek Gajowy, led a walk-around the site before New Home Sales Manager, Sonya Turner, and Sales Advisor Kamila Kunkiel gave a tour of the Showhome followed by a question-and-answer session. Finally, the children buried a time capsule in the garden of the Showhome; the capsule contained contributions from each class at the school as well as photos of Taylor Lindsey’s construction team and copies of the day’s Times and Lincolnshire Echo newspapers.

The visit was a great success, enjoyed by all. The children and staff commented “We love the Showhome and want to move in!” Development Manager, Richard Bishop, said “It was great to have the school visit us today and to see the children so enthusiastic and engaging. We hope they have enjoyed compiling the time capsule, who knows when it will next see the light of day!” Sonya Turner said “The children described the new homes as ‘like a mansion’, luxurious and their favourite thing – lots of storage cupboards for a game of hide and seek!”

Manor Park is located off Lincoln Road and is a development of 280 houses ranging from 2-bedroom semi-detached through to 4-bedroom detached family homes. The show home and first phase of houses are ready to view now.

The Manor Park Sales Centre and Showhome are open Friday – Monday 10.30am 4.30pm.
