Second Victory for Churchill at the NKDC Awards
For the second year running, Taylor Lindsey Ltd won two awards at the North Kesteven District Council Awards for Building Excellence ceremony. The awards, held annually at the Council chamber reward builders and architects for projects that exemplify the essence of good building.
Taylor Lindsey’s refurbishment and conversion of the former E H Lee warehouse at Churchill Business Park, Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln had been nominated for Best Commercial Building (Small) and Alastair Twell, Phil Oliver and Joe Lawson were delighted when the results were unveiled by Paul Weldon, Building Control Manager, as winners for both categories of Builder and Architect.
The building was refurbished, converted and let to Small Beer (Lincoln) Ltd, a company who started life in 1980 as an off licence on Carholme Road in Lincoln and is now a fully composite wholesale business, supplying over 2,000 products to over 500 outlets up and down the Eastern side of England. Formal handover to Small Beer took place on the 7th June 2013 and now offers 18,500 sq ft of warehousing and cold storage, 3,000 sq ft of office space and outdoor storage and car parking of just over half and acre.
Taylor Lindsey will now be put forward for the LABC Regional Awards for Building Excellence in May 2014.
