New Test Centre Advances to Go

Thursday 14th August saw completion of Lincoln’s new driving test centre located on a two acre site at Earlsfield Close, Sadler Park, off Doddington Road.

Taylor Lindsey took on the project to build and lease one of the 65 new centres needed nationally, to comply with new legislation to the way motorcycle tests are carried out from September 2008.

The new centre is big enough to accommodate the new motorcycle manoeuvres now required to be carried out in the test to assess riders control over their bikes in the off road compound.

Alastair Twell of Taylor Lindsey handed over the keys to Alan Vickerman, Manager of the centre, was delighted with the new building. The project, which took eight months to build, was completed to a very high standard and was completed to the target date set.

The centre’s open day will on 19th September 2008 when the old centre will close. The Louth centre will also close and bike tests usually held at Grantham and Boston will also move to Lincoln.
